my pen pals on death row

As crazy as it sounds I am the penpal of a death row inmate. She is incarcerated for kidnapping resulting in death. Yes she is a murderer! But before she was that she was a mother, wife,daughter,sister...A person and a productive citizen. What im trying to convey is that there is more to my penpal than the crime she committed!

When I first wrote her I didnt want to know the details of her crime and I told her that. well she wrote back telling me to feel free to ask questions. well I couldnt bring myself to ask anything so I looked it up on good ole google. And there it was every unimaginable detail of her crime. At first I was blown away,but then I decided that I was not going to focus on her crime,But instead on her as a person.

As our friendship blossoms I find myself looking forward to her letters as I have come to be very fond of our new found friendship. We have found alot of common ground in which we have based our friendship thus far on. We have alot of the same likes /dislikes. 

I did let her know that googled her crime,and that even though what she did was horrible,I was willing to look past it and continue to write her ! To my surprise....her response was one I never expected. She told me that she knows what she did was horrific,and that she has alot of remorse for what she did. She also told me she has been talking to her lawyer about contacting the judge so that he can set the date for her execution! I was totally blown away by this.

But yes my penpal is on death row in a texas prison and im proud to call her my friend. As I said theres more to her than the crime she committed!
